Hamlin Tallent RADM (ret), a native of Missouri, is a 1972 graduate of Southwest Missouri State University with a degree in History and a Masters in Public Administration from George Washington University. He also attended the Industrial College of the Armed Forces

Before joining Sentek Consulting, RADM Tallent was the Director of Operations (J3) for the United States European Command responsible for advising COMUSEUCOM on all operational issues including command and control of U.S. forces in the USEUCOM area of responsibility from Norway to South Africa. RADM Tallent specifically led counter terrorism efforts in Africa and his team developed the Trans Sahara Counter Terrorism Initiative: a blueprint for developing coalitions through capacity building.
RADM Tallent served in Fighter Squadrons Twenty-One (VF-21) and One Fifty-Four (VF-154), and was a Catapult and Arresting Gear Officer on USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63). He served as the Air Wing Operations Officer for Carrier Air Wing Three on USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67). He commanded Fighter Squadron One Forty-Two (VF-142) Carrier Air Wing Fourteen (CVW-14), and Carrier Battle Group One (CVBG1).
Ashore, RADM Tallent was an instructor at the Navy Fighter Weapons School (Top Gun) and the West Coast F-14 Fleet Replacement Squadron (VF-124). He later served as an action officer on the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the J-5 Directorate. RADM Tallent commanded Tactical Training Group Atlantic and was the head personnel detailer for the Bureau of Naval Personnel.
